The Ordinances

In New Testament there are two ordinances — baptism and the Lord’s supper.

The doctrine of baptismal regeneration and the belief that Christ is corporally present in the bread and wine are errors. They are not means of saving grace.

The Lord’s supper is a memorial to Christ’s death and resurrection and is to he practiced in remembrance of Him and as a proclamation, sign, and seal of His redemptive work on behalf of the church (1 Cor. 11:23-26).

Baptism is a public identification with His person, His gospel, and His people.

Elders must teach and act out the biblical view of ordinances.

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬ This book shows three gifts of God he provided for growth in godliness.
